Looks like $4 per song, downloaded. I wouldn't qualify that as 'free.'

Same here

You will also find these at HDtracks. It's a little bit involved: First you have to register then you will have to go to this page . Rather nice selection... I don't have the 16/44.1 files for comparison but these sounded extremely good ...

I am very surprised about the availability of DSD material for download !! Seems you can actually burn these to DVD !!! With Terabyte disc sliding toward $40 and Broadband speed inching toward 100 MB/s (ATT U-Verse pushes some places in Miami over 20 Mb/s) physical support for digital content will soon be a thing of the past ...
