I use WinXP, Win7-64, and Mac OSX, and while WinXP sends the correct data rate value to the D3, Win7-64 and Max OSX send only the high data rate value. Since all three computers send the music correctly, there must be an additional setting for Win7 and OSX that controls the visible data rate indicator.

Win7 and OSX don’t support automatic sample rate switching.
In case of Win7, all audio is resampled according to the setting in the sound panel.

You are probably using DS (Direct Sound), Windows default audio driver.
As it is a USB DAC, try WASAPI then automatic sample rate switching should work.

I've tried WASAPI and never could make it work.
