I wanted to share with you my delight at a Canadian Winery from British Columbia's Okanagan Valley as a winner of the best Pinot Noir. Other than Icewine, Canada is not known for its output of world-class wines, but maybe this will change now that the Mission Hills winery has been chosen from more than 14,000 entrants.

While Canada, due to it climate and shorter season, will likely never be a powerhouse producer, it's nice to see that with great care, dedication to one's craft and a commitment against all odds can result in a winning product.
