Perfect sound forever!

IMHO, there is a fundamental flaw in such plugins - the great recordings of the past were made by sound engineers of great expertise that knew about the characteristics of machines and knew how to use them in the creation of the art, as they say. Surely they recorded and processed the recordings in order to overcome these problems. and machine characteristics.

If you give these plugins to sound engineers from the digital age, that never recorded with analog machines, to process material that was not prepared for them from start, most probably they will produce poor recordings that only the marketing guys will love.

Ah. Yet another tool with great potential......for abuse.

If there was an audiophile edition of The Onion, this would be a front page story.

Unfortunately, no, the great engineers of the day were unable to overcome these problems, though they were able to make great records in spite of them.

I believe studio recordings fared much better than acoustical venue recordings in that era. They're all synthetic anyway.
