Anybody listen to this? It's a strange mix of synth jazz, some island influences, I heard a cut "You Wish" that plays off one of those very standard jazz riffs you've heard a million times but (I) can't identify.
The vinyl ain't easy to find or cheap. I'm figuring this might be up the Doctor of Jazz's alley but the question is open to all.

I have it on vinyl. Great lp. It is in that downbeat hip hop jazz influenced musical genre.

Reminds me of Guru - Jazzmatazz series that he had out.

Nightmares on Wax also have a brand new lp out - have not heard it but a few friends say it is wonderful.

Thanks Turntable. Aren't you the person who is into 'modern' music, for lack of a better word?

Hi Whart,

I guess you could say that. You will not see me buying any Diana Krall or Justin Bieber ;) both manufactured music imo and so much better alternatives in jazz and pop music to listen to.

I like and play jazz and blues quite a bit, but my main musical love is indy, rock, electronic, pop and still buy lots of new release "modern" vinyl.

cheers
