Very interesting review of the S5. Measurements compared to the Alexia that MC tested earlier in the year are quite impressive

I'm with stereo. Q3 over the S5. The Q3 is more refined sounding. It has a more neutral tonal balance and it is better looking, IMO. However, I can see how those who listen more to rock and at loud levels might prefer the S5. There is also a considerable price difference.

Does the S5 measure better than the Q3? Scratch that. I've heard both and prefer the latter. I did recently hear the Alexia sound very good with Pass XA160.5 amps and the the XP-30 pre amp.

I do not know of any reliable measurements on the Q3. But if we admit is follows the trend of the Q5 we can expect it to be significantly tailored. I liked a lot the Q5, but it is really a very inefficient speaker, limiting the choice of matching amplifiers.
The Alexia is mentioned in 1 sentence.....
"The S5’s bass driver pairs are equivalent to a 370mm (14.5in) unit, which is about right for
full blooded bass in good sized rooms. The S5 bass drivers actually exceed the 14in equivalent area used in the Wilson Alexia."
