Does anyone know where in Japan Sony's high-end speakers (e.g., SS-AR1) are manufactured? I have searched and come across many reviews, Sony's white papers, etc. but cannot find a specific reference to where they are produced.

Thanks for any insights.

The white paper says the woodworking is done in Hamamatsu, Japan. That most likely translates into final assembly in Japan.

Yes, we know that it is in Japan, but the OP is asking where exactly in Japan the Sony high-end speakers, like the SS-AR1, are finally assembled (put together). ...Which factory plant, and in which town or city in Japan.

By the way, those SS-AR1s are some' else; serious construction (wood assembly, provenance, bracing, ...) and parts (drivers, crossover, ...).
