p.s. Call NBS and ask for a user reference. I have always been interested in Walters designs, but the cost is not possible for me. I do use his cables since 1990.

the second link is very interesting. if they sound like a big Shahinian then there are very good. I know Shahinian. One of the best loudspeaker for classic and jazz.

Walter told me that he had these at a NYC show and they were upstairs, people were shocked as the bass was to say the least "monstrous". This was probably right after his first production.

Interesting but what happend with the mids and highs?

if you have a downfire bass you have always the problem with the vibration of the house. On the other side the bass sounds for me more real. i think the problem is not the bass, I do not understand how he will integrate the mids and the highs.

I have a sub with 2 16 inch drivers that I set the crossover at 30hz. I would imagine Walters design use the 18's for very low frequency.

Wonder what show he's referring to? I never heard them in NY and doubt you'll see a review since you'd have to go to Walter's place and listen to them.

I'd really like to know what Walter is doing in that speaker. It looks to me like it relies entirely on reflected sound, which is of course highly unorthodox... but when smart people do unorthodox things in their field of expertise, there may well be a very good reason for it that has eluded everyone else. So I am quite curious.
