From my favorite movie Heat;

Best shootout scene ever!

Another great scene from the movie is the drive-in shootout;

I'll start...

"Goodfellas"

"Field of Dreams"

"A Touch of Evil" -- classic opening shot

"Singing in The Rain"

"To Kill A Mockingbird" -- Always loved this movie...this became much more meaningful when I became a parent

"Cinema Paradiso" -- Best ending ever? Don't watch if you haven't seen the film...

"The Kid"

"Rocky"

"Shane"

"Wizard of Oz"

Great thread! :) I have many favorite short scenes.

I could post many clips from Ferris Bueller's Day Off. This one has become a cult classic:

Such a profound and sad moment in one of the best movies made, The Green Mile, acting by the late Michael Clarke Duncan in his best role/acting ever:

And who could forget this sad moment when Spock "dies" in Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan

Here's one with John Cusack from Better Off Dead:

and another favorite from the same movie, where the car race competition learned English from watching Howard Cosell announce sports events:

Of course, no "favorites" compilation would be complete without the origin of my beloved Krell electronics:

It never ceases to amaze me how advanced their special effects were for such an old movie. Made me want to dust off my HD DVD of it and watch it end to end :).
