Hello,

I am looking right now for a new DAC. The Femto is one of the best DACs I ever heard. Better than the Weiss 202 for example. What do you think I get a better sound If I invest more money or it is a little bit different but not better?

I prefer a more analog sound not the high resolution sound from many DACs.

best regards

Josef

There are lots of DACs out there in this price range. You picked one (Weiss) that's the least "analog sounding" to compare it to :)
Perhaps you should try the BADA 2, heard good things about this one. Or the Total DAC, I believe there's a version at this price point. Both the Bricasti M1 and the MSB Analog DAC are a little more expensive, but might be worth looking into also.

 The Weiss is not analog-sounding?! If anyone catches digital harshness with the 202 then there's a serious problem with some other part of the system :)

if you compaire a Weiss to a VDH Colibri Platin you will see that the VDH is much better... of course if you are using cheap cartridges the difference maybe is not big or you will think the Weiss sound more analog
