Probably a tweeter and a super tweeter....

Both are regular Scan Speak tweeters ... the one on top is their top of the range textile dome, the lower one looks like the old 9700.

Previous owner of Wilson Wham & 1 of the most respected audiophile in Malaysia . Looking forward to listening to syst in a week or so. Currently down due to software issue. It's has 6 drivers per side & each driver driven by a goldmund 350 fixed internally. Preamp must be a digital pre . Owner using top digital pre , Mimesis 32. Pretty simple looking internally & retailing for more than usd100k+. Speakers come with captive tiny weenie power cords. No IC necessary . Can be use with IC as well . Retailing for USD530k. Plenty of savings without the need to purchase IC, power cord , amplifiers , DAC & room correction .

Hey Audioblazer,

Just saw your post here...any particular ways in which the owner preferred these to the WAMMS? Most curious...

I am not surprised.
In the mid '90s I went to listen to a used pair of Whamms at the French importers place. There were a pair of the original Apologues in the same room and they had much better musical timbre and much faster bass. I went fully intending to be impressed by and buy the Whamms but ended up with Goldmund Epilogs, the Apologue replacement back then, instead. The other contender was the B&W Nautilus which I wanted to like best because of the styling...

Well those Apologues are wireless powered speakers with Alize Dacs in them. This means that with the Mimesis processor, it will be able to implement Preteus/Leonardo DRC and time alignment. A distinct advantage in of itself.
