Hi guys
JV wrote about R2R and tapes in TAS July but I think he don't have enough in put for him to comment about deck and amp or recording quality, still we are so happy which he said that chamber music lover's dream come true by our tapes.
for who had Yu/Eldon play Czardas in Violin encore, can have a chance to compare with Yu/Lee's playing of this time that you can know the different between copper and silver wound transformers Yu/Eldon was early recording with tube modified record card but still keep in use the original stock step down 2 to 1 input transformer, now rest of our recordings have replaced by a silver one except Yu/Eldon is not silver, with same Czardas you will feel the different very esaily
in analog recording for more than one instruments is very difficult to control the balance between instruments of only two mic and without mixer control directly to recorder ( extra volum control and amp will down the transparency no matter how good they are), this is our first Trio recording we had to let players listen to the tape after to see the real result of repro and then control by themselves again in recording that is the art of skill of the players, beside that we can do nothing the only thing for us is how to place the mic
detail please visit our website's news ( ultraanaloguercordings.com)
