A few pictures of my $15.00 Model 2500 Cambridge Audio receiver (25 watt) and Infinity $10.00 SM 82's foam rot speakers.

The speakers will not be restored, I'll be pulling the drivers for a membrane speaker experiment, the plastic to plastic glue connection should be a good one.

If the recycle shop MD_2500 does not work, I may have to considering giving it away to someone in the forum. I bought it to drive my speaker experiment. However I picked up my repaired all-in-one Marantz from the shop the same day ($70.00 repair).

Little over a year ago I was visiting thrift stores with a neighbor of mind that was seeking sports memorabilia, so I decided to tag along and see what I could find. Always curious about what audio gear that might be there. At a Salvation Army Thrift Store found a Yamaha CR820 Receiver for $15.00 and at the same store a pair of Realistic Minimus 7 speakers for $5.00. Later that day at a Goodwill found a Sony 5 disc carousel CD Player Model CE 545 for $10.00. In Ft.Lauderdale found at a St Vincent dePaul Thrift Store a Microseiki Turntable MB14 with a usable Audio Technica AT 96 cartridge for $15.00. So for a paltry sum of $45.00 had a complete system. Got it home and put it all together and was amazed at what can be had at a giveaway prices. Everything worked no glitches. No this stuff was not mint by any means cosmetically and on a scale of one to ten, with ten being the best, this gear was about six. Although the Yamaha CR 820 was an easy nine. This was a fun excercise for me and I gave the entire system away to a school teacher that taught music and needed something like this. A year later nothing has failed and it is still going strong. Kinda amazing of whats out there.
