If your turntable has a separate ground from the tonearm ground wire and you aren't using it, I highly encourage you to connect the ground from your table. I have a Technics SP-10 MKII table which has its own ground point on the table. Hooking up this ground made a difference in my noise floor for LP playback. I have a copper bus bar that is drilled and tapped and I connect all of my system grounds to the bus bar and then connect the bus bar to the center screw on the wall outlet my preamp is plugged into. This brings all components that are attached to the bus bar to the same ground potential.
