So basically, if one sets up 7.1CH for different sensitivity, the master volume function would do the external remote volume control duty (without source switch of course). Maybe I should look into getting back into SACD MCH setup I had abandoned years ago...
That's right; but the separate speaker channel levels are for proper balance between all of them,
then the Master volume is your main sensitivity Gain. :b

Also you have several great Blu-ray Music concerts as well. ...With moving pictures.
