So the Air Force is having a problem with sexual assaults (no different than the other branches of the military). Currently, the Air Force is still winding down the scandal at Lackland Air Force Base which is where all basic trainees go through. It seems a few of the Training Instructors were having sex with the students which doesn't make the Air Force look real good. And this is separate of the sexual assaults that go on in the Air Force outside of basic training.

In order to combat sexual assault, the Air Force set up a Sexual Assault Prevention and Response program and puts a Lt. Col in charge. His name is Lt. Col. Jeffrey Krusinski. From the news stories: "He was arrested just after midnight Saturday in Arlington, Virginia, and is accused of grabbing a woman's breasts and buttocks, Arlington County police said. Police said the woman fought off her assailant when he tried to grab her again before she called authorities."

How rich is that? You just can't make that kind of stuff up. It's like putting a pedophile in charge of a day care center. And speaking of that, if any of you are young enough to have children in day care and a man answers the door when you arrive to drop off your child/children, grab them up and peel wheels out of there.

The good news is that the woman who was assaulted by this creep didn't stand for it and whooped up on him a little bit. Here is a picture of his mug shot:

It seems the Lt. Col was on 23thd St in Crystal City, Va which I have been to a zillion times. 23thd street is lined with restaurants and bars and one Ta-Ta establishment known as the Crystal City Restaurant. Apparently the Col got a little hammered in one of those establishments (he was twice over the legal limit) and stumbled outside and found a woman he wanted to impress and caress and ended up ruining his career in the military. Unless of course some General decides to overthrow his certain conviction by Court Martial which has happened twice recently in the Air Force.

A) He is a cartoon character of a hard drinking, tail chasing officer.

B) He got his ass royally kicked by his intended female victim. Good for her!

C) His career is over

wow Mark, thanks for the post, and great title too!

I doubt that the air force put their best and brightest in that spot, but that reflects a leadership crisis and good old boy network. I also doubt that what he did is a court martial offense. Hand slap and transfer to another position is my expected outcome from the good old boy network. the way the military will drag this out, the press, even if they follow it at first, will lose interest as the case drags on for half a year or more.

Tom-Coming on the heels of an officer getting court martialed for sexual harassment and the court marital was subsequently thrown out by a general which has come under fire and a female general who is having her next promotion held up because she did the same thing, the Air Force is under siege by Congress right now for how they are handling these cases. To think that an officer that was put in charge of preventing sexual assaults was arrested for committing a sexual assault will not go down easy. I think the Air Force will have to make an example of this guy. If he was enlisted instead of an officer, they would probably give him jail time and bust him down to E-1 and give him a dishonorable discharge. This guy will probably escape with being thrown out of the Air Force. This is a red-hot issue right now in the military and with Congress so this guy is going to be made an example of.

I'm shocked by the numbers. This doesn't happen in the public workplace. When you work for the military, you just can't quit very easily.

She definitely was not putting up with his nonsense and she obviously stood up for herself and I congratulate her for that.
