I did some extensive research yesterday; and in 1963, both John Coltrane Quartet and Chris Connor & Trio played at the Village Gate. ...I also highly recommend reading about this particular venue created back in 1958 by Art D'Lugoff. ...For all the Jazz lovers here, and also all the others. ...Check things out about Bob Dylan, Dustin Hoffman, John Belushi, and many other artists/musicians/comedians/jazz players who all have some 'special history' attached to it, ...and also the 'top floor' (Top Gate), the basement, and the recording sessions and all that jazz.

* I am 96.63% certain that 1963 is the year Bruce was asking for yesterday.

I was born near Montreal, and on weekends, in the seventies, we went to bars, clubs, live shows, discos, etc., till the wee hours (6:00-7:00 AM). ...Guess what kept us alive in those years?
...Besides the music.

Montreal, New York, Paris, ... they all live at night; the musicians, and the *****.
