Also in the article you mention:
Fiber SFP Module Compatibility Is Important
........Therefore, misalignment will be created when mating APC and SFP module, which will result in more loss and even the interface within the transceiver may be damaged.
These days I'm testing the connection of the two Finisar1475 with optical fiber LC/APC which in turn connect the two switches (Melco S100 and Uptone EtherREGEN).
While searching the internet I found this: https://www.fiberopticshare.com/fiber-sfp-module-compatibility-apc-upc-pc.html
So it says...
For some time now I have been using two network switches (Melco N100 and UpTone EtherREGEN) which I connect to Finisar FTLX1475D3BTL with optical fiber PHOENIX CONTACT Single-mode OS2 duplex jumper, LC-LC, UPC polishing 1m.
In the datasheet of both Melco and EtherREGEN as well as Finisar I did...
What is the difference between the two, I can't understand?
I use the first one.

Has anyone tried and compared these:

In their description they say that they are maybe even better than the original ones.
I have been using similar technology cables from the Greek manufacturer Mamalos Kostis for a long time.

The difference in sound quality, especially with The Elite interconnect cables was really amazing.

I will await your findings.
I, until now, achieve galvanic isolation as an example: Router>CAT 6>Melco S100>Finisar 1475 BTL with Phoenix Contact>EtherREGEN.
The NAS connects directly to the Melco S100 with a 10 m CAT 7 cable (no name). In tests I did I describe the results here...
Until now the NAS connected directly to the Melco S100 with a CAT 7 no name cable.
Since I had two finisar 1318BTL left over I tried the one below because of the low cost.
NAS > CAT 7 > TP-LINK MC220L v4 > Plastic Optical Fiber > Melco S100.
The result was surprisingly good. More detail and...
I bought it from here: https://export.farnell.com/phoenix-contact/1115636/fibre-cable-lc-duplex-lc-duplex/dp/3462889
if that helps you.
Big difference in sound.
I am currently in this phase as well. In my system changing SFPs between Melco N100 and EtherREGEN and yes they sound different.
In 1318P3BTL the sound, in my opinion, is sharper and with not so good control of the bass. It strongly resembles "digital sound".
In the 1475D3BTL the sound is...
How the "Melco N1z connection -> ADOT -> optic fiber -> S100 -> streamer" is implemented. I could not understand it.
The Phoenix fiber optics you purchased?
Hi Guys
While waiting for the Melco S100 switch I would appreciate any advice - suggestion.
Currently the connections are:
Router - CAT6 10m. in Ubiquiti EdgeRouter X (NAS and iMac are also connected to it) - Supra CAT8 - UpTone EtherREGEN (NUC 10 i5 with Roon Rock are also connected to A...
