    S3 MK3 (2023) Arrived

I'll be in Germany next week. It seems like, just as with my S3, the first time I'll get to hear the new speakers will be in Munich, long after they've been ordered.... deja vu

    S3 MK3 (2023) Arrived

It should really depend on the space size if you're total listening space is less then say 45- 49 square mater, I would stick with S3, if its larger, S5 would pressurized it better.

    S3 MK3 (2023) Arrived

Quick update: I was thrilled with the S3Mk3, but the recently released S5 2024 has ignited a desire for more. I've placed an order for the new S5 2024 from the first batch... fingers crossed the wait won't be as lengthy as last time.

    Munich HighEnd 2024

I'll be joining some friends for the first two days of the show. Typically, we combine our visit to the High-End show with a few days of exploring the region between Germany and Austria, specifically the area between Garmisch and Innsbruck.

    CH Precision L1 vs C1.2 Pre-Dac?

I see that this can be change only on Discrete and Premier but not on Reference and Select. You can try adding pre amp or try checking your amp gain input as this is adjustable in 0.5 db steps to accommodate the input signal level.

    CH Precision L1 vs C1.2 Pre-Dac?

Hi @agencal 1. Both your MSB DAC and your CH M1.1 are able to change gain (and feed back with your amp), did you try to match them ? if C1.2 will sound better with your M1.1 is only because of matching input and out put gain, with all the respect the MSB is the better DAC in my experience. 2...

Optimizing Audio Environment: Testing of Digital Bass Traps and Alternative Solutions at My Home

I completely agree with you Ron, the C214s are far superior to Vicoustic passive absorbers. At my friend's home, where the environment is challenging and standing waves are prominent due to corners and the rear wall being just behind the listening point, active treatments like the AVAA or RQ are...

Optimizing Audio Environment: Testing of Digital Bass Traps and Alternative Solutions at My Home

I have the Magico S3 2023 speakers in a lightly acoustically treated room. A friend of mine brought over two AVAA C214 Digital Active Bass Traps that he uses in his own audio system for testing at my place. The results at my home, although not as pronounced as what he experiences in his own...

    S3 MK3 (2023) Arrived

@Stevet Thank you for sharing your informative journey about the speakers and amps you listened to before making your purchase decision. Did you listen to all those amps with the S3 in the same room? I ask because room acoustics can affect the bass response and level of detail you get from...

    S3 MK3 (2023) Arrived

You've posed an intriguing question. It could be pertinent to consider that the speakers are positioned on carpet, where spikes theoretically might outperform rubber-footed ones. As for the lower frequency range (bass), the S3Mk3 faces no challenges in filling and pressurizing my...

    Magico M7 2023

When I met the Magico CTO last year at the Munich High End show, he informed me that the new S3mk3 has the same 88dB efficiency at 4 ohms as the S3mk2. He also mentioned that the new model is easier to drive compared to the MK2 model, as it doesn't dip as much. Since I upgraded between the...

    Advice Vivid G2 Cabinet Repair

The material used in Vivid speakers resembles motorcycle fairing material. If I were you, I would search for a professional motorcycle workshop. They should be able to resolve the issue or refer you to someone skilled in repairing motorcycle fairings. This is a relatively straightforward fix...

    Rhapsody.Audio Listening Rooms

The arrangement with the Lorenzo speakers is stunning. In Munich, the setup with Lorenzo speakers was quite impressive. How does the system sound in that room? It appears a tad neglected acoustically.

    S3 MK3 (2023) Arrived

Based on my experience with similar S3 2023 speakers and the Luxman preamplifier with two bridged amplifiers, the occasional harshness in the sound you mentioned likely stems from the interaction between the speakers and the room. I've noticed similar issues in my own setup till i find the...

    S3 MK3 (2023) Arrived

Hi, The tiles in front of the speakers are covered with a thick and heavy rug. I haven't tried putting anything else beneath the rug itself. Without the rug, listening to speakers wouldn't be pleasant due to the reflection.

    S3 MK3 (2023) Arrived

Although I haven't read the TAS review of the new S3Mk3 (or is it 2023), I can attest that these speakers surpass others in their price range. Magico could have likely charged more for the new S3 given their quality. My experience with the speakers leads me to ponder how impressive the next...

    S3 MK3 (2023) Arrived

Apologies for the oversight. Earlier, I responded to Owen instead of addressing your question. He uses raw software for the measurements, and the cost was covered with a bottle...
