I haven't used the Benchmark. One thing I've found is some speakers i've owned show little or no change with regard to source while some speakers can change dramatically to source. I can't afford to swing and miss, so I try what I think I want with what I have first. When I buy a new product and...
My dealer is always taking trades and he sets them up for quick resale. I was listening to a pair of focal 1028be's and was completely stunned by how much new information the speakers were delivering. I asked him to play a track from Supertramp 'Breakfast in America' and all that resolution...
It's crazy how some speakers are hyper sensitive to placement and the components they're connected to, Some speakers need 500 watts to come to life, some need can't have any reflective surface within 5' of them. I resold a half a dozen speakers in the price range you're shopping because I...
The million dollar question. I have a Hegel H590 I bought new a year and a half ago and replaced with the components in my sig last feb if you're considering that direction.
How many wives do you have? I’m all in on don’t ask don’t tell, but I can’t help but think multiple wives would just increase the odds that one of them is going to ‘disappear’ the rest of us for material value.
If you're around the west chicago suburbs Simply Stereo has the new Kore and Epikore 11 on display. I was hoping for a more consumer friendly price for the epikore 11, but the sound is all I could ask for and they were showing them off with a modest Mac Ma352 integrated.
audiophiles show up at my house to buy my used gear in 6 figure vehicles. I expect they can't help but think my priorities are a little messed up. The Kef Blade and Mac Mc611's are hi-end to me.
Idk if the 390 and 590 use the same dac but I would think the least amount of components in the chain offers the smallest chance of noise entering the system. The h360 is a clean quiet unit, but slightly softer on top next to the h590. Sorry I never got the 390 home.
I put a bid on the Aeries that were at the 22 axpona, but they were fully active so when I was outbid I let them get away. I enjoyed the effortless presentation and am a sucker for their looks. Congrats.
never owned a sb but this pulls hard to 175 mph and with street gearing and surprisingly good qs is really quick off the line. I have rerouted that wire since this pick at the blue ridge pkwy summer 22.
There was a pair that came up locally and it was $1000 more than others were asking and I let them go. kinda wish I woulds ponied up. The Blades are good, but the music are still on my bucket list.
I was at a point when I had 3-4 pair of full range speakers at the same time, salon 2, usher be20dmd, persona 7f and Meridian dsp 8000seup and enjoyed swapping them around for their different trade offs, but in reality I was just not ready to commit to a single pair to build around.
