MSB Renderer v2 in the house!

Yes- first they found the Renderer was defective and repaired it. That still didn’t fix the DSD playback issue I was having. They then determined their firmware was bad in terms of how it was handling DSD playback. Their resident DSD guy created a new firmware and that has fixed the issue...

MSB Renderer v2 in the house!

Update- I have sent my whole DAC with renderer in for a check-up with MSB. Let you know what they find. It could be the DAC or the Network Renderer v2 module. The folks at MSB are really great to deal with.

MSB Renderer v2 in the house!

Hi Guys! Thanks for your help. It’s an Analog DAC and yes I upgraded firmware yesterday but same problem. I’ll have to wait and see what MSB says. Alex, thanks for your offer to help. If I end up nowhere with MSB I’ll reach out. I’ve enjoyed your rooms at the various audio shows over...

MSB Renderer v2 in the house!

Well a few months in and my brand new Network Renderer v2 is not working. It keeps skipping every microsecond during playback. I have eliminated all other causes (network congestion by isolating it with the player containing a built-in network bridge and disconnecting from external switch)...

There was also a slide in WI-FI module for the Analog DAC. I received an old manual from MSB for it. You’re right in that it’s pretty much phased out and isn’t used today. If someone can help me figure out how to attach it here I’d be happy to upload it for others.

MSB Renderer v2 in the house!

Got it. Thanks all! I do have the aluminum remote so I’ll stick to that. I thought on the Analog I had a choice of switching between filters but it seems I do not, so I’m good. Thanks

MSB Renderer v2 in the house!

Thanks Alex. My used Analog DAC came with a Wi-Fi module in the back, installed in the deeper module slot. In the manual it says an optional Wi-Fi interface is possible to control a few settings (also controllable through optional RS-232 interface as well). Would you happen to know of...

MSB Renderer v2 in the house!

Does anyone have a Network Renderer V2 manual handy? It’s still not up on MSB’s website and I have no idea how I can access the Analog DAC settings without accessing its web interface. I’m assuming there is a web interface as the Wi-Fi controller module has it, although mine appears to not be...

MSB Renderer v2 in the house!

Great! Breathing a sigh of relief.... at $1995 retail was hoping it would include MQA for the Analog DAC as well. Thanks for the confirmation Alex, and others. I get my Analog DAC next week; cannot wait!

MSB Renderer v2 in the house!

Thanks all for the follow-up responses to my query. Appreciate the insight. I’m considering upgrading to the Innuos Zenith MKIII myself. I think it’s about a $1500 upgrade. Is it worth it? Re: the Network Renderer; good to know it does decode MQA on the analog DAC. Cheers

MSB Renderer v2 in the house!

Great thank you! I’m hoping MSB write back. Will try pinging them myself again. Thanks also for the information on the streamer port. Felt their documentation was a bit lacking on that port and Innuos customer support, although very responsive, didn’t seem to quite understand what I was...

MSB Renderer v2 in the house!

Hi Alex, et al, I have an Innuos Zenith MKII (running Roon server) and an MSB Analog DAC on the way with the new Network Renderer. As for setup, can I connect the MSB Analog DAC directly to the Innuos Zenith using a short ethernet cable via the Streamer ethernet port on the Innuos? I'm a...
