Peter,
The unit is set for north american 120 V. I was also made aware after posting that owner does not have original carton, but said unit will be very well packed and insured for shipment.
Be well
John

It’s reputation is otherworldly, audiophiles fortunate to own one of these works of art have been left slack jawed trying to describe the musical event that this unit presents in front of them. Now is an opportunity to own this revered piece of art, which rarely comes up...
Correct no USB or ethernet connection. I run roon server on My PC (music server) and my Motherboard has Toslink out so I have been sending a signal to this Dac vis toslink and upsampling files to 24/192 via roon and MQA files running as they are from tidal, Dac switches to MQA and unfolds the...

@Bodhi, Yes this is a terrific Dac. I have been listening to it and comparing to my T+A which I run at DSD512, with a pretty tricked out Server. The Berkeley is the Best PCM I have ever heard. I now understand what Mr Harley hears. Be Well
If you are reading this you are probably well aware of this DAC and it’s reputation as one of the best sounding DAC’s made today. Robert Harley has called this DAC the best digital he has heard. Absolute sound has given it many awards. The Computer Audiophile has said back in late 16 before the...
I followed what the accusilicon (mfg of the clock gustard uses) guys said, put across VCC and ground. If you make the boot, current draw will come down closer to .1A.
we think the .15 load is on the board.
@val33 Yes it is highly recommended to put a 10 pF ceramic cap between ground and Vin. Hard to tell in the picture but do you have the clock soldered into the x3.3 pad? If so that is the gustards internal 3.3 V supply and i strongly suggest against that. I see you have a battery connected to...
@val33 are you talking about the clocks on the USB board (45/49), no one to my knowledge has replaced them, As to what happens with the digital signal Simon is the best one to answer that, he really was going deep down that route trying to basically bypass the digital board with a differential...
Mark,
Like Ric I made my own cable, I used about 6" of pure silver wire, I then slid some tinned shield over this and soldered two grounding wires on the shield. I then wrapped all the in teflon tape. Direction is very important so you need to experiment which direction it is obvious which...
Mark, Have you read older posts on this forum? I went through 2 -X20U's doing Ric's level 1 mods. The second one I compared the sound to the first one which was full Level 1 of Ric's suggest mods, at each stage of Ric's mod path. These comments start around post #31, I did not begin to mod...
No I do not know for sure if the T+A has a "summing Circuit" my guess since the difference is clearly audible is that it does. You can try a Balanced to RCA adaptor first and see if there is a difference. If there is and it is positive then someone can make you a balanced to RCA cable, or...
