Wow only 5 months? I cancelled after >12 months of waiting. Australia? I'm was just a 14 hour drive from the them.
I have a pair of CLX - very fine indeed. Can you share some words of comparison?
I found Lansche bass quite tame. I agree with you integration is very good. My Acapellas (high violoncello ii mk ii) sort of turn to mud as u go down in frequency.
I rate the Tweeter at 10/10, midrange 6.5/10 and bass 3/10.
So I crossed the bass over electronically to GR research open baffle...
Well I guess they still have my phone number. I had the guy I spoke with write it down in February. And I left it on a few voicemails.
Or if they discarded my nber they could reach me through the dealer.
I got my deposit (22k CAD) back from the dealer yesterday.
He didn't seem to have time to...
Re: bass
That's why I put that deposit down on the 30.7's
Re: plastic sound
I haven't heard Apogee's or AA but have heard Alsyvox. Alsyvox sounded wonderful. Great bass tone. Maggie's to me sound pretty great hence my order was placed in early 2018 for the 30.7's.
And they are well priced. I like the lack of crossover a lot. I will check them out.
I like the Alsyvox Botticelli as I can buy two panels and add a third later if I find I need more bass, and think integration would be better as every driver would be made from the same materials.
I spoke to...
Thanks. I'll check it out.
Re: my current tastes, In Munich last year at the HiFi Deluxe show, I really liked SoulSonic - a really really long ribbon tweeter. Also liked the Alsyvox planar magnetic very much.
Dr Vinyl is the North American dealer for Alsyvox and we are speaking tomorrow AM.
I...
Yes the GTA3R is interesting.
I use the same GR research OB subwoofer type in my place now and love them dearly so thanks for the reminder for the GTA3R.
A friend gave the same advice but now I will never know :|
Or maybe I will when 30.7s hit the used market I'll pick some up.
Are the 3.7s a full dipole?
They are both panels and the wave launch is better than what I had before anyway. That was my thinking. There is a lot of space behind them (25 feet or more) so the dipole made sense to me to fill up the space. They sound much better than the controlled directivity solution I had before. Your...
Well I joined today but reading for years and yes I'd like to get back at them because they sort of suck.
As much as I like the Buddha I'm not quite there yet. Just a simple guy.
