MIT Oracle MA digital vs MA-X digital?

Unless you're using the articulation there should be no difference. Agreed that I never use the articulation switched on the -X products, they are gimmicks and what they do ime is unnaturally move the Soundstage forward or back.

MIT Oracle MA digital vs MA-X digital?

Interesting. Best to ask MIT as it's probably a model that was produced just before MA-X. It will depend on whether they were just refining the performance for the MA-X (performance very similar) or it was just a basis for the MA-X design (large difference in performance). Based on my...

MIT Oracle MA digital vs MA-X digital?

Are you sure you're not getting yourself confused? To my knowledge, anything with an articulation selector is in the MA-X line. I looked up the MA digital version 2 and there is no articulator: https://mitcables.com/product/oracle-ma-rev-2-digital-interconnect-sp-dif/

MIT Oracle Max SHD Robert Harley

I figured with the short tails and the 2 way speakers being on a stand that you didn't have much choice on placement of the networks :) As long as you're addressing vibration, that's what important. I was really surprised at the improvement the first time I put Acoustic revive TB-38H...

You're doing your system a disservice. Isolating the networks provides audible improvements. Here, not only are the networks not isolated, but they are being placing on something that is vibrating heavily.

    Emm labs DA2 v2 upgrade

For those that have an EMM transport (including the NS1) and DA2 and haven't upgraded the ST Cable, there's a nice program at The Cable Co where if you purchase the Aural Symphonics Optimism Lotus ST, a matching donation is made to charity: https://www.thecableco.com/aural_symphonics.html?cat=106

Oppo UHD 203/205 - modifications, improvements, discussions...

It's been a long time since anyone posted in this thread, but I recently moved back to 120V land and needed a new LPS for my 203. Decided it was time to go big and try out the Coris unit so I ordered one. Transatlantic shipping is a nightmare these days as it takes forever. In the meantime I...

Shunyata Research - New Products for 2020

I'm using CAD GC1s for signal ground for my front end components (started with sharing a single GC1 for my transport and DAC which resulted in a clear performance improvement and then moved to a GC1 for each component which was a substantial improvement. I also have an additional ground on my...

Shunyata Research - New Products for 2020

The Everest is really impressive - and I had a Triton v3 previous. I knew from within the first few notes and was sold 30 seconds in (and I went into it fully expecting to come away unimpressed and save $8k). There's no burn in - plug your components in and let them warm up and you're gonna...

Old mit vs new mit difference

I think the new ridiculous prices are MIT's version of the Transparent Cables pricing model. iirc a former Transparent dealer said that his cost was somewhere around 20% of retail price foe most of the line. Plus, if you don't like all the sound manipulation via the various knobs (I hate it -...

    Emm labs DA2 v2 upgrade

Let's not guzzle the EMM Labs kool aid. By all accounts EMM Labs have achieved their goal of creating a top notch digital volume control; they deserve all the accolades they have achieved in that regard. However, anything more than that will need much more than what is effectively a press...

    Emm labs DA2 v2 upgrade

I guess I'm just obstinate but as much as I trust EMM Labs' digital prowess I can't imagine theirs or any other digital volume control outperforming an elite preamp - there's got to be some manipulation of the signal to lower the volume and that must result in degradation of the signal. But...

Any one using Acoustic Revive devices or Acoustic System Resonators?

Agreed. The RGC-24 is clearly missed in my system when removed. It's a fantastic grounding supplement to the Computer Audio Design GC1 on my preamp. Can't say the same for the RR-777; I've never been able to hear any improvement using it no matter where it's placed.

    Emm labs DA2 v2 upgrade

It's a little crazy to read everyone's reviews and thoughts (including mine) regarding the DA2 given how much was still left out there in terms of performance as evidenced by the DA2 V2. Btw, if you guys with the DA2 V2 really want your brains to melt, see if you can demo the new Shunyata...

    Emm labs DA2 v2 upgrade

Dagogo updated its review of the DA2 to take into account the new V2 hardware upgrade for the DA2 (confusingly there is also reference to a V2 firmware upgrade which while technically accurate should not be confused with the earlier v2 firmware upgrade for the V1)...
