Bill, gotta tell ya this: the laws regarding movies, music, guns, etc. in Canada and in the United States of America aren't the same.

And people's overall mentality from them two countries is also very different.

As for my state of mind, I must say this to you; you don't have a single clue of what is deep down at the bottom of my heart, soul, and mind.
I believe that you are interpreting my writing (words' compositions) in a less than accurate meaning.

How I truly feel about our world and the rest of the universe is only my own domain.
Anything you might read into it is your own interpretation.

Bob- the 'step back' comment was really aimed at your feeling so disturbed over the Colorado tragedy and your general upset over the state of the world, and all I was saying was yes, that is all true, but you can't carry the world's burdens on your shoulders. That there may be little you can do to stop corruption, or government stupidity or the plight of the world at large (that's where my feelings in the aftermath of 911 came into play), but that it might make you feel better if, say, you contributed time to some endeavor meant to improve some small part of the world.
It was not meant to tell you how to live your life- I was trying to be empathetic, and none of that had anything whatsoever to do with my message to you re the movie downloading issue.
I was trying to address how you said you felt about the world in general and what a mess it was, nothing more. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

One last thing Bill; I don't even have a DVD drive in my PC, only a CD drive, and I don't ever use it!
This is just for your personal information.

And what others do in their life is certainly not of my business.
And I certainly don't try to rule the world! Are you?

When I got something smart and elaborate to say I am usually using over 10,000 characters (I had to delete most of my previous message to you).

Make your peace clearly, speak from the heart, and don't try to rule my life.
I am nobody to you, and you are just a cyber person using a cyber language (through a PM), with a special tone that is totally out of line in my book. Voila!

Try to write to the US president instead and tell him to make some positive changes on gun's law in America!

If you don't feel comfy, please just tell me and I will delete my message.
But I make sure that what is in the open conforms to respectable and intelligent comments.

My Dad died exactly a year ago, and with him a deep part of my soul.

What I contribute is what others find. And what I feel is good because I did good in my life in the past, today, and tomorrow.

I don't get exactly what you are trying to tell me, if not regarding illegality of movie downloading.
I already edited my post to the top of its value.
What do you want me to do? Be like you? Do as you do? Follow your instructions?

Step away from what, or from who? From you?

Bob- you are internalizing this too much. I understand it, but I think you need to do something for yourself to step away from it. The world is maddening, it is insane, it is unfair, and everybody gets fucked in the end. I didn't lose anybody during 911 but I was on my way in when it happened. And it surrounded me for weeks, and sometimes still haunts me, even though I lost no one. I understand, but I think you can help by contributing time, or doing something that makes you feel like you are making a difference.

And I know what's right and what's wrong thank you very much Bill.

Right now I am totally devastated by this morning's events.
And what people want to be concerned with is their own prerogative.

We live in a corrupted world with fraudulent banks and politicians and high ranked people who take advantage of the vulnerability of our citizens and children (Sandusky, Paterno, ...).

It is impossible to guess what's on people's mind, and when we judge we judge ourselves first.

* Cat Stevens was treated as a terrorist by the Americans, and yet he won the Nobel Peace prize later on!
I can give you thousands of examples like this, but I think you can balance things into proper perspective.
At the end the final results are always impossible to fully grasp.
Only God has the power and true ability to do that.
